Patty’s grandmother, Rose Gallizzo, and her father, Ben Parrish both died with late on-set dementia which they lived with for many years. There was not an understanding of Alzheiner’s disease and related dementia at the time. Her loved ones were told to get their affairs in order, that is all the education we are given. We have come a long way since then, and Patty is passionate about getting the new information and education out to everyone!

Patty’s passion is to deliver current dementia care education through a positive, interactive, and engaging curriculum that is tailored toward her audience. Her one mission is to bring dementia awareness and education to medical professionals, individuals and communities so that people living with dementia will have a feeling of belonging, a sense of purpose and shared belief that all people with dementia, will have their needs met with respect and dignity.
