Remembering Rose founder, Patty Flott has a BA from Mount Saint Mary’s University where she studied Psychology, Sociology, and Social Welfare.

She founded Anitas Angels, Inc., a residential eldercare care business, employing and training nurses, nursing assistants, and companion care aids to take care of the elderly in their homes. She worked as a Director for Sales and Marketing for the Residence on Greenbelt.

She has been an Alzheimer’s Association volunteer since 2006, working closely with the association as a Support Group Facilitator, raising awareness on Capitol Hill and promoting legislation that has created an infrastructure that will support healthcare professionals, communities, individuals, families, and care partners.

Patty started Remembering Rose to expedite the delivery of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care education to ensure that healthcare professionals, staff, memory care communities, families, and individuals are well-trained to provide current, appropriate, competent, and compassionate direct dementia care.

She is certified through the National Council for Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) as a Certified Dementia Practioner(CDP), Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT), Certified Dementia Care Support Group Facilitator( CDCSGF), and Certified First Responder Dementia Trainer(CFR-DT). She is also certified as a Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional (CMDCP ) through the International Council of Certified Montessori Dementia Professionals.

Patty delivers current dementia care education through a positive, interactive, and engaging curriculum that is tailored toward her audience. Her mission is to de-stigmatize dementia and bring dementia awareness and education to all who support, service, love and care for people living with dementia so they will have a feeling of belonging, a sense of purpose, and a shared belief that all people living with dementia will have their needs met with respect and dignity.
