Education, workshops and in-service sessions

Early detection, lifestyle changes, and living well with dementia all are part of the new education and information that is available to all individuals, families, communities, and health care professionals yet only 13%t of our general practitioners are screening for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Patty Flott has been passionately advocating for those affected by dementia for over 17 years. She has been trained by the National Certified Council of Dementia Practitioners and the International Certified Council of Dementia Professionals (ICCDP), the gold standards in dementia care. She is a Certified Dementia Practioner(CDP), Certified Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia Care Trainer,(CADDCT) Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional(CMDCP), Certified Dementia Support Group Facilitator, and a Certified First Responder Dementia Trainer(CFRDT) She founded Remembering Rose, Dementia Care, and Consultations, to expedite dementia care education to practitioners, healthcare professionals, communities, families, and individuals. She believes that it is necessary for all those who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias to thoroughly understand the disease process and the challenging behaviors that are related to the disease in order to provide quality dementia care and to help those living with this disease live well for as long as possible.
