A Certified Dementia Practioner (CDP) is a person who has met the highest standard in Alzheimer’s and Dementia education. They are certified by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners and International Council of Certified Practitioners (NCCDP/ICCDP), NCCDP/ICCDP.
Take the path to certification as a CDP with this Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar, one of the requirements for individuals pursing CDP certification in order to qualify through the NCCDP. If you would like a superior education in Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care, even if you are not interested in becoming a CDP, this is the course for you. Certificate of Attendance (CEU’s, in most states) are available after completion of the seminar.

Anyone can attend the NCCDP Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar. If you are pursuing certification as a CDP®, you must complete the NCCDP Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar. Then you have 30 days from the moment you complete the seminar to submit your application to NCCDP and receive your Certification as a Dementia Practitioner. You may visit NCCDP to find out more about the application process and certification eligibility.
The organization, NCCDP ensures a high standard in Alzheimer’s and Dementia education through the Certified Dementia Practitioner certification process. The CDP certification demonstrates the achievement of specialized training in the areas of Alzheimer’s and Dementia care.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The instructor reserves the right to cancel the seminar based on insufficient enrollment. Registrants who need to cancel must provide the instructor with notice in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the seminar. Cancellations are refundable less a $75 administration charge. Substitutions may be made at any time.
No recording is permitted in the seminar unless used for the sole purpose of viewing the digital handbook.
CEU’S
The Alzheimer Disease and Dementia Care Seminar has been approved for 7 CEU’S for Nurses with the CEU Network in most states for an additional fee of $28.00, information will be provided in class.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR PATTY FLOTT BIO
Remembering Rose, founder, Patty Flott has a BA from Mount Saint Mary’s University where she studied Psychology, Sociology and Social Welfare. She founded, Anitas Angels, Inc., a residential eldercare care business, employing and training nurses, nursing assistants and companion care aids to take care of the elderly in their homes. Patty developed and presented her dementia care training to her staff, assisted livings and to nursing homes. She facilitated a support group for her clients and their family members She worked closely with her clientts whose loved ones had demntia to best help them understand Alzheimer’s disease and the related dementia’s
She worked as a Director for Sales and Marketing for the Residence on Greenbelt and conducted many dementia workshops. She has been an Alzheimer’s Association volunteer since 2006 working closely with the association to raise money for a cure and on Capital Hill, promoting legislation, which has already started to create an infrastructure that will support healthcare professionals, communities, individuals, family and care partners.
Patty started Remembering Rose, Dementia Care Education, to expedite the delivery of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care education, to ensure that caregivers, staff (all those supporting the health care industry), communities, families and individuals are well trained to provide appropriate, competent, and compassionate direct care and support for those that need it the most.
She is certified through the National Council for Certified Dementia Practioners (NCCDP), as a Cerified Dementia Practioner(CDP), Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT), CertifiedDementia Care Support Group Facilitator( CDCSGF), and as a Certified First Responder Dementia Trainer(CFR-DT). She is also certified as a Certified Montesorri Dementia Care Professional (CMDCP ) through the International Council of Certified Montessori Dementia Professionals.
Patty’s grandmother, Rose Gallizzo and her father, Ben Parrish both died with late on set dementia which they lived with for many years. There was not an understanding of Alzheiner’s disease and related dementia at the time. Her loved ones were told to get their affairs in order, that is all the education we wre given. We have come a long way since then, and Patty is passionate about getting the new information and education out to everyone!
Patty’s passion is to deliver current dementia care education through a positive, interactive and engaging curriculm that is tailored toward her audience. Her one mission is to bring dementia awareness and education to medical professionals, individuals and communities, so that people living with dementia will have a feeling of belonging, a sense of purpose and shared belief that all people with dementia, will have their needs met with respect and dignity..
